Swami Suryendu Puri
Introduction of Swami Suryendu Puri Ji
Swami Ji was born in present body in 1976 in a pious middle class family of northern india. Many quiet and introverted years followed which were mingled with the dream of bringing happiness and prosperity to the world, which he describes as 'the dream of Ram Rajya'. After completing his graduation in science, he finally decided to break his shell, and to give some direction to his life, landed up in Bangalore. It was here that the shy and timid person gave way to a dynamic and influential one. After completing his Post Graduation in software engineering Swami Ji quickly climbed through the ranks in the IT sector as a Programmer Analyst and soon found himself the master of all worldly luxury. And it was when he was offered a job in the US that he finally decided to give himself a break and contemplate where his life was heading. "Everything, I felt was just a repetition. Only that, I would have got more affluent; smaller car would have given way to a luxurious one and the same with all other things. The prospects weren't attractive for they brought nothing new." He was a keen observer and looked deep into people's life. "People had that so-called 'all', but I noticed that somewhere inside they were diseased, lacked real health and happiness." During these tormenting times he strayed into the arms of Sri Swami Buddhpuri Ji Maharaj, the Man who was to become his Master. Conversing with him he felt that life had loads more to offer, only if he was to search for it in the right way! Meetings with his Master resonated to the feelings of his searching heart and brought with them definite hints as to what was to be his direction thereon. And from then on there was no looking back. The bond grew. The latent dream of a happy and peaceful world resurfaced. The storm of questions tormenting his mind coupled with the Master's attraction made him finally break his shell for a second time and he became Brahamchari Surya Chaitanya. And after serving selflessly for a few years, 4th February 2006 saw the monk Swami Suryendu Puri born at the hands of the Master.
Swami Ji is a masterful orator and a cogent debater. He can completely shake the foundations of our limited beliefs when on a role. Both old and youth continue to benefit from his counseling, selfless service and yes, humor. He has great care-taking skills that are reflected in the SSS foundation. But beneath this cloak of a Karmayogi lies a tender heart that sheds tears seeing anyone in trouble and pain. Probably this very trait, even years ago made him write, "I want to love you like the broad sky, which gives shelter to all but wants nothing in reply." This sense of service towards humanity led the man to choose the garb of a monk amidst all luxury and one feels that it is this loving heart, which now leads him onto a new venture, even at such a young age. It is the endeavor of spreading the remarkable findings of the Shastras, authenticated in the modern times by the direct experiences of his Master, amongst the thirsting souls.
Swamiji has conducted several camps, workshops and seminars in various cities of Chhattisgarh, Gujrat, Haryana, HP, Kerala, MP, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP and also in capital Delhi.
