They are today the foremost exponent of the Banaras Gharana of singing Saraswati, The Hindu Goddess of music and leaning, has amply showered her blessings on the two brothers: Rajan Ji is a post Graduate in sociology, and Sajan Ji a graduate from the Banaras Hindu University

They have extensively toured all over the world. Ajay Shankar Prasanna

Ajay Shankar Prasanna, one of the leading International flautists of India, was born in a family of musicians .

He received his training in Flute from his ather- Pt. Bhola Nath Prasanna from the Banaras Gharana who is also the Guru of Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia.

A TOP grade artist at the All India Radio, Ajay has been nominated thrice for GRAMMY AWARD. Pt. Ajay Prasannahas also won"Global Indian Music Award" in the best fusion music album category for the album, "Cinema". He has received the "Sangeet Ratna Award" by Swami Haridas Samiti, Vrindavan and "Surmani Award" by Surshringar Sansad, Mumbai. Ajay Prasanna has also received the honorable "Bharat Gourav Samman" by the Orissa Academy of Tribal Culture Research & Performing Arts.

A rare combination of innovator and traditionalist, he has significantly expanded the expressive possibilities of North Indian classical Flute through his masterful blowing techniques. Ajay is well known for his incredible melody, fluency in his renditions, maturity and dexterity in his performance in both gayaki and tantrakari styles of playing.

Duet singing in the Indian Classical Music is considered a very difficult art, for it requires not only individual competence but, great amount of self control to improvise and harmonise at the same time. The Maestros Duo Pt. Ritesh Mishra and Pt. Rajnish Mishra have put in everything to achieve such excellence under the guidance of the Living Legends, the 'Sun and Moon' of the Banaras Gharana, Padma Bhusham Pt. Rajan Misra (Father) and Pt. Sajan Misra (Uncle).

Enliving the sixth generation of the family of great musicians, the Artist brothers are gifted with a very pleasing voice and sensibility for musical notes. Skilled with rich knowledge of Indian Ragas the duos have performed at most prestigious concerts all over the world such as, BBC Proms at Albert Hall, London, Lincoln Centre, NY, USA, closing ceremony of Commonwealth Games, 2002 in Manchester, UK.

They have sung 3rd track 'Mahadeva' in the album called 'Rise', that has been nominated for the prestigious 'Grammy Awards'. 'Top' Grade vocalists of All India Radio and Television, they have been awarded the 'YUVA Ratna Award' for the year 1999, 'Bhavishya Jyoti Award' for the year 2007, 'Sangeet Natak Academy Award' for the year 2008 and 'Sangeet Samriddhi Award'.
