Rules for Yogasana Competition 2019 (National Yoga Championship)

Separate Yoga Competition for Male and Female competitors will be held in the following eight age groups :

  • 08-13 (Boys/Girls)
  • 13-18 (Boys/Girls)
  • 18-25 (Boys/Girls
  • 25-35 (Men/Women)
  • 35-45 (Men/Women)
  • 45- Above (Men/Women)
Date Of Birth/Player Registration Card

The age of the player will be checked as it stands on 28 Feb 2019 of the session of the National Yoga Championship, for that all players must have the document (High school certificate/Aadhar Card/Driving License/Pan card), to check their Date of Birth.

MedicalFitness Certificate

Each yoga player will submit Medical Fitness Certificate of at least a MBBS doctor before participation in the National Yoga Championship.

Photograph of the player

Each yoga player will submit a latest stamp size colored photograph before participation in the National Yoga Championship.

Number Of Entries

In each age group, maximum three competitors of either sex from each unit will be allowed to compete.

Sequence of Performance

The competitors will perform one by one on the dais as per their sequence which will be decided by a draw of lots before the competition.

Syllabus

Competitor will perform all the TWO ASANASand first three steps of Surya Namaskaras prescribed in the syllabus of their respective age groups and ONE CLASSIC ASANA as per own choice.

  • CADET GROUP : 08-13 YEARS BOYS & GIRLS
  • SUB JUNIOR GROUP : 13-18 YEARS BOYS & GIRLS
  • JUNIOR GROUP : 18-25 YEARS BOYS & GIRLS
  • SUB SENIOR GROUP : 25-35 YEARS MEN & WOMEN
  • SENIOR GROUP : 35-45 YEARS MEN & WOMEN
  • SUPER SENIOR GROUP : 45 - < YEARS MEN & WOMEN
Retention

Time to maintain in each Asana will be fifteen seconds for all age groups.

Dress

The male Competitors will wear shorts only. The female Competitors will wear Costume/Sports Shirts and Short but the women above 25 years may wear skin tight track bottom and sport shirt.
