Monika Bansal is a senior teacher at the Art of Living Foundation. She has been associated with the Art of Living since 1999.

She was born, brought up and educated in Dehra Dun. She has done her Masters in English Literature and later went to Delhi to do a Post Graduate Diploma in Event Management. She moved to Rishikesh in the year 2000.Her interest in health and nutrition grew when she found she was not keeping well for a long time. She took charge of her health and went deeper into this field. She is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC) and a Lifestyle Consultant. She coaches people helping them to achieve their health goals by bringing balance in all spheres of their lives. Her mission is to bring awareness amongst people about living healthier and happier by making lifestyle changes.

 

Monika hasbeen teaching the Art of Living Happiness Program, Meditation and Wellness program to people of all backgrounds and age groups since 17 years. Art of Living Wellness Program is an awareness-based program, which helps people to know more about their body and healthy food. She has taught Art of Living programs in the Indian Army, ITBP, NHPC, THDC and BHEL. In her initial days as a teacher, she worked in the rural areas teaching the ‘NavChetnaShivir’ to the underprivileged sections of the society.

 

She is a Yoga Alliance certified (200 hr) Yoga teacher and has a special training in holistic and therapeutic yoga with an Ayurvedic approach and Hatha Vinyasa. She has practiced Iyengar Yoga with leading Iyengar teachers in Delhi and Rishikesh. She also teaches the Art of Living’s Sri Sri Yoga program. She believes the goal of asana is not achieving a perfect posture instead its about experiencing it which then helps one to go deeper within oneself reaping the subtle benefits of yoga.

 

Apart from teaching wide range of Art of Living courses, she has experiencein Organization and system Administration. Since 2007, she has been coordinating and organizing Art of Living Programs and Events in Rishikesh. She headed the Finance and Administrative work of the Art of Living Rishikesh Campus from 2007 to 2017 and continues to be a member of the Art of Living Rishikesh Ashram Committee.
